Anxiety and Phobia One Session Treatment

Consider an existence controlled by anxiety and terror, in which every feat is pored over and even the most insignificant decision is agonized over. Extensive time is exhausted studying daily responsibilities or conditions that the majority of people handle easily. According to the National Institute of Health, nearly 40 million adults in the United States who experience anxiety disorders are inflicted with this type of life.

Concordantly, nearly 18 percent of those living in the United States endure some kind of a panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, general anxiety disorder or phobias, such as a social phobia, agoraphobia, or a specific phobia, which embody common fears of articles like heights, elevators or germs.

Are you among those people? Many people do not know how to distinguish if their inherent concerns have developed into a phobia. A phobia is categorized as an illogical dread or fear. If someone meets a phobia trigger, they might grow panicked with faster heartbeat and breathing. Commonly, that person might begin feeling a choking sensation or their palms turn sweaty. They may additionally have ringing in their ears and recognize they are powerless to concentrate on their environs.

As with any unpleasant sensation, people can go to great lengths to circumvent the experiences, settings or things that cause them. If a person has a social phobia, they might evade people, or if it is a common phobia, such as spiders or coffins, those who possess a phobia will aim to elude those triggers.

The anxiety disorder phobia could be one of the most convoluted to solve because ensuing problems commonly result from the anxiety phobia relationship, such as despair or drug addiction. In fact, most people who suffer from one anxiety disorder often cultivate other anxiety disorders.

Though it may be beneficial to make an appointment with a mental health professional to identify your phobia and understand the basis of it, the central action is commencing treatment for the phobia and anxiety. Several therapies exist for successfully treating a phobia, including talk therapy, drugs, systematic desensitization, hypnotherapy and Nuero-Linguistic Programming.

Typically, drug treatments for phobia and anxiety treatment can include sedatives, which actually exacerbate the problem because sedatives do not help the elemental reason for the phobia. Other mental health professionals favor talk therapy; however, talking about or even thinking about the condition or setting of the fundamental anxiety phobia can create a panic attack.

Traditional hypnosiswhich merely helps the client accomplish a relaxed state of hypnosis and then offering post-hypnotic suggestions or commandscan be very successful if the person is receptive to it. That said, many people with phobias snub the notion that they will be more comfortable and calm when they are confronted with the situation or environment that prompts anxiety from the correlating phobia.

Knowing the challenges and even setbacks of other kinds of treatment for phobias, systematic desensitization can be a helpful treatment. It is the process of progressively desensitizing a client to the prompt that produces the anxiety disorder phobia and resulting panic attacks.

For example, if a person desires to rise above a phobia of dogs, she is asked to first sit down and envision a dog until she is secure with the image. Then, she is given a picture of a dog to view. Perhaps she progresses to holding a plush dog and so on until she is able to stay in the presence of a canine without the panic symptomspossibly even stroke the dog.

The essential point is that, following each movement, the subject acknowledges that nothing unpleasant took pace and that she is safe. If at any time she undergoes fear or panic, the therapist asks the client to go back to the preceding step until she has recovered a sense of ease.

Fortunately, there is a way to make this process less frightening and painful: Systematic desensitization can be performed as the subject is in a relaxed state of hypnosis. While in a relaxed hypnotic trance, the subject would be asked to complete the same actions, however she would actually feel very peaceful as she imagined herself feeling comfortable and relaxed in the situation that provokes anxiety.

Just like live systematic desensitization that takes place without the assistance of hypnosis, if the subject feels any anxiety concerning her phobia, she is commanded to step back to the previous action. The only downside is that this technique can necessitate a fair amount of time to bring reprieve from a phobia.

The fastest and most effective method to abolish a phobia is a Neuro-Linguistic Programming method called a Visual/Kinesthetic Disassociation. It commonly cures the subject of a chronic phobia in only one session. The technique actually programs the subject to disassociate, or mentally step outside of themselves at the time that they might normally experience their anxiety attack. The process literally splits the subjective feelings from the mental images that produce the panic attack in the first place.

CONCLUSION: While any phobia treatment that someone takes on will necessitate commitment and work, systematic desensitization coupled with hypnosis can offer an effective cure. But the NLP Visual/Kinesthetic Disassociation can offer an answer that almost seems magical by allowing the subject to overcome the phobia quickly with significantly lessperhaps even nodiscomfort or panic.

Nervousness - What Creates It And How To Cure It

Even though many people tend to use the words “anxiety” and “stress” interchangeably, they are in fact two separate conditions. Stress is a response to a stimulus, either external or internal. You may experience stress because you feel frustrated with something (like waiting in line behind a slow person) or when you are worried that you will not meet expectations (such as missing a deadline at work).

Anxiety, on the other hand, is a sense of dread, or fear and nervousness. It can be brought on by negative thoughts and expectations, or as a response to stress. You may experience feelings of anxiety all of the time and not know why, or your feelings may be a response to something you are nervous about, such as an upcoming journey.

Abnormal levels of certain neurotransmitters in the brain may cause generalized anxiety. Some studies indicate that anxiety can be hereditary. Anxiety may also be induced environmentally, as when a child whose mother or father is often anxious becomes an anxious person by observing the parent. But very often the core cause of anxiety is simply the thoughts in a person’s mind!

Stress and anxiety are subjective conditions. Different people may feel stressed about different situations, and different people may respond to their anxiousness in extremely different ways. Symptoms of anxiety can range from the mild, such as sweaty hands and tense muscles, to the severe, such as anxiety attacks, vomiting, and irregular heartbeat.

Everyone feels some amount of anxiety from time to time. We have all experienced the dry mouth and vague sense of dread before an exam or public speaking engagement. But when does it become harmful to your health? Research has shown that chronic anxiety can make us vulnerable to sleep disorders, depression, high blood pressure, and relationship problems

For sufferers of long-term untreated anxiety, there may be negative health consequences that have yet to be fully identified. Some studies have found a link between chronic anxiety and a number of serious health conditions including heart disease, thyroid disease, arthritis, cancer, and respiratory illness. Chronically anxious people may even be more likely to suffer a fatal heart attack.

If you suffer from what seems like an overwhelmingly high amount of anxiety relative to the circumstances, or if you feel anxious nearly every day, you may actually have an anxiety disorder. Anxiety disorders are chronic conditions characterized by an inability to function normally because of constant anxiety. Anxiety disorders are serious conditions that should be treated to reduce the risk of long-term negative health effects.

Anxiety treatment has long been the subject of much discussion in the medical field. Some medical professionals believe that medication is the best treatment for chronic anxiety. However, anxiety medications often produce undesirable side effects that are just as bad or even worse than the initial affliction.

There are many safe and effective ways to control negative emotional reactions. Exercise is a frequently overlooked option, but it is extremely effective in managing stress and anxiety. When you exercise, your body releases endorphins, which are natural mood-boosting and pain-killing chemicals. With regular aerobic exercise, you may begin to feel a dramatic decrease in negative emotional reactions to situations that would have previously made you extremely anxious.

The most effective way to manage worry and tension is to control it from the inside out. Stress management and stress relief techniques are extremely useful in handling day to day stress. These techniques can teach you to relax yourself and let the tension leave your body. You make a conscious effort to slow your breathing, release the tension, and maintain a tranquil state of mind. Meditation is an excellent form of tension control in which you practice thoughtful relaxation and deep, calm breathing.

However, if you want a proactive method to relieve yourself of anxiety, hypnotherapy is by far the most effective treatment option. When an individual undergoes hypnotherapy, their emotional responses and reactions to events are changed at the core. This permits them to handle common anxiety-inducing triggers without the typical nervousness and fear.

Hypnosis is often performed by a licensed hypnotist in a series of regular treatments. More commonly today, hypnotherapy is available in the form of self hypnosis programs which are available in the form of DVDs, MP3s, or CDs for individual home usage. No special skills are needed to practice self hypnosis. All you need is a device to play the hypnotherapy program and a quiet space where you can listen and relax.

Another very successful type of anxiety treatment is Neuro-Linguistic Programming, or NLP. NLP is a form of therapy that helps you condition yourself to naturally respond to situations in a more positive manner. You can consciously decide to be calm rather than anxious, and consequently, you always have control over your own emotions.

It is evident that it is important to be able to manage our negative emotional responses in order to remain healthy. Understanding how to cope with fear and nervousness may even extend your life. To treat long-term anxiety, the best course of action is to use hypnosis to change your reactions and attitudes from within. Then, it becomes easy to use stress management techniques as needed to remain calm in everyday situations.

Headache And Migraine Liberation Through NLP And Self Hypnosis

Even if our brain itself is not sensitive to pain, certain regions of the skull such as the scalp, face, mouth and throat have pain-sensitive nerve fibers, which can ache. Headache - or cephalgia - generally means any form of pain that would appear in those sensitive regions of the skull.

Headaches can be divided into two categories: Primary headaches, to which stress headache, cluster headache and migraine headache belong and which are not due to any illness; And Secondary headaches which are associated with a disease.

Headaches are the most common nervous disorder. Everybody will be affected by headache at least once , but for 55 million people in America, it is an everyday problem. The World Health Organization claims that one in every 20 adult suffers from recurring headaches, with females being more at risk than males.

Headaches can be extremely disabling and may very negatively affect the lives of people who have to go through them. Work ability is reduced for these people, which may also negatively affect their economic situation.

The ability to socialize is also reduced as the pain, or the fear thereof, may make people more moody. Some people who suffer from migraine even have to always be careful about everything they eat, everything they see, and last but not least everything they smell, because certain strong or displeasing sensations may cause pain.

Because headaches are perceived as such an ordinary, harmless disease, the persons who experience them on an everyday basis also have to face the incomprehension of their friends and relatives. This social barrier may also deter people from seeking medical attention and getting an appropriate treatment. But before it can be treated, a headache needs to be “identified”.

We have seen before that there were two particular kinds of headache: Primary and Secondary, each subdivided into numerous other subcategories. Their symptoms may vary as well as their causes and, obviously, how they should be treated. That is why they need to be identified by a physician so that you can receive appropriate treatment.

Stress headache, also referred to as tension headache, is the most ordinary type of primary headache and accounts for an estimated 90% of all headaches. It is generally considered related to stress or related to muscular and skeletal problems in the area of the neck.

Tension headache is mainly momentary and may last from a few minutes to a few hours, but might last for several days in the most severe cases. It is typically described as a strong steady pressure, most commonly on each side of the head, or spreading around it, on occasion also extending to the neck.

Migraine is slightly different and is thought to almost certainly have a genetic origin. Migraines happen when the brain releases pain causing inflammatory substances, that spread to the nerves and vessels in the head. Migraine typically happens on a monthly basis and persists for a few hours, accompanied by symptoms like nausea and intolerance of regular degrees of light and noise.

Cluster headaches often occur frequently and do not last long. They are also very painful. They happen in clusters of six to twelve weeks every one or two years, commonly at the same time of the year. The pain is extraordinarily severe and affects the whole head, generally beginning in the eye, and then affecting the forehead, nose and mouth. It is much more rare than some other types of headache and primarily affects the male population.

Headaches are generally cured using over-the-counter pain killers such as aspirin, ibuprofen or paracetamol. A physician could also prescribe avoiding some typical causes of headaches like noise or certain foods.

Caffeine, Magnesium and Vitamin B2 have also shown to be effective in the treatment of migraine. Drugs however are costly and may have undesired side effects, particularly for people who have to take them on a regular basis. That is why you might want to think about another way of avoiding the various types of headache.

NLP and Hypnosis were indeed proven to be working and will help you to get rid of pain in any part of your body, including the head, as well as trying to be more relaxed at the same time. Stress is a very common cause of headache, and specific hypnotic methods exist to get rid of both stress and headaches in a few seconds.

People who have migraine or cluster headache are generally able to feel the first symptoms before the migraine really occurs, and could learn self-hypnosis techniques to get rid of them before they get too painful. Therapists who understand how disabling a headache can be have designed these therapeutic techniques.

Hypnotherapy is a drug free method of treatment that will help you to find the relief you have been looking for. Headache is a serious condition with numerous forms, affecting millions of people throughout the world. Learn to fight it and to relax with the soothing method of self-hypnosis.

Fish Oil: Reap The Beneifts Of Omega 3

Fish oil is conducive to good health. Evolutionary biologists and anthropology scientists believe that for much of human evolution, humans have lived in coastal areas of this planet. It can be concluded that they derived nutrition from seafood like shellfish. Recent studies have conclusively established that the human brain is composed of certain oils which are mainly found in fishes.

Fish oil has been established as the source of many health advantages. It has been proven to help control blood serum cholesterol. It can help treat high blood pressure, and assist in the prevention of heart disease. It has also been used to treat neurological conditions, such as depression and memory loss.

Omega 3 is perhaps the most important ingredient in fish oil. The human body cannot produce the essential omega 3 fatty acids. Plats rarely yield any and produce only minute quantities. Pregnant women and their unborn children especially benefit from consuming enough omega 3 as the fatty acids help with brain and eye development during pregnancy.

Along with deficiencies in omega 3 number of health problems are associated. Studies have suggested that asthma and other allergies as well as Attention Deficit Disorder may be linked to insufficient intake of omega 3. Some scientists have said that a lesser consumption of omega 3 by pregnant women leads to poor hand-eye coordination, lower IQ level and poor social skills of the new borns.

Although salmon, sardines and herring are excellent sources of omega 3 fatty acids, consuming a large quantity of fish could possibly contain a dangerous level of heavy metals from water pollution. Water pollution can accumulate in the bodies of fish. A large amount of vitamin A, which is found in fish livers, can be dangerous, and potentially fatal.

It is recommended that people take sufficient quantities of fish oil supplements to prevent some of the health problems caused due to less intake. For people who are allergic to the tast of fish oil, it is available in capsule form. However one should ensure that these capsules are free of mercury and other dangerous metals. Infact some of these products are purified to ensure proper assimilation by human body. It is frightening to know that 2% of US population is taking the recommended daily intake of Omega 3 even though it could benefit human health in many ways.

Fish oil contains many important nutrients. Omega 3 fatty acids are among the most beneficial and best known of these. Only 2% of the US population is getting enough of these essential oils which is alarming since they can have a huge impact on health. High blood pressure and depression are just two of the many ailments which they have been used to treat. Omega 3 benefits the development of unborn children’s eyes and brains as well as the development of children. People are recommended to take supplements made from the flesh of fish to avoid the heavy metal contamination and Vitamin A poisoning.

Treatment For Tinnitus

It was two years before I discovered that there was a treatment for tinnitus. For two years now, I have been suffering with tinnitus, the constant and noisy ringing in the ears. I believed that there was no remedy for easing my suffering, and I was beginning to lose all hope. I felt completely helpless that I could not control the ringing noises in my ears.

One day while I was in the depths of my misery, I ran into an old friend from college. You won’t believe what a lucky happenstance this chance meeting became for me. I talked with her about my problems with tinnitus, and she gave me some information that raised my vanquished hopes and made me feel that a respite from the horrors of tinnitus might be looming in my future.

I found out that although her husband also suffered from tinnitus, he had found a treatment that was effective enough to allow him to live a normal lifestyle. I could hardly believe it when she told me about the full life her husband was living in spite of tinnitus. I hadn’t thought it was possible, but after talking with her I felt renewed hope that these treatments could make a difference in my life, too.

I started to make revisions with my diet. I reduced my salt, caffeine and alcohol intake. I have also gradually tried to stop smoking cigarette. Right now I am using Homeopathic Tinnitus Remedies to help me with my tinnitus, as well as tinnitus masking therapy. I am slowly seeing changes with the noise that I hear.

The improvements in my condition are small and gradual, but it gives me hope to actually see that there can be improvement. I used to be depressed because I thought there was nothing that could be done to ameliorate my problem. With these changes, I have self confidence again. My attention has shifted from the condition that made me miserable to productive activities that keep me busy.

I currently eat a much healthier menu. I try and ensure plenty of Vitamins A, B Complex, C, D and E. Such a combination helps keeps me free of disease and limits my amounts of stress. Under circumstances where stress is raised, my symptoms get significantly worse. Therefore, no matter what is going on, I need adequate rest and to eat well.

Knowing that there are options available to treat my tinnitus has helped me to relax and enjoy my life again. I worry less about the ringing in my ears and am sleeping better. When I am rested and getting enough sleep, the ringing actually decreases somewhat and is much less annoying.

If you need to discover more about the treatment for tinnitus and what your best options are make sure download this FREE 130pg tinnitus self help guide. We have found that natural treatments for tinnitus such as homeopathic remedies have had the best results.

Desire, Decision, Action - How To Quickly Get Rid Of Harmful Behaviors

Did you ever try to get rid of a negative behavior, only to be unsuccessful? There is list of ordinary problem behaviors that people often try to change or get rid of using hypnosis. The most common are: Overeating and weight loss; stop smoking; quit chewing tobacco; stop nail biting; increasing self-confidence; overcoming insomnia and sleeping better; improving memory; and managing stress.

WHAT THE MIND CAUSES, THE MIND CAN CURE: The motivation for our behaviors starts in our thoughts. When you stop and think about it, all of these destructive behaviors are the result of negative thinking. In other words, you think and motivate yourself into all of these behaviors. Or at least you think yourself into feeling stressed, and that can be the origin of these behaviors. And since you think and motivate yourself into these behaviors, you can think and motivate yourself out of them. In order to think and motivate yourself out of these negative behaviors, you will need to know the “Motivation Formula For Success.”

DESIRE: You are possibly reading this editorial for the reason that you want the motivation to make some personal changes. And that’s opportune because the first element in the “Motivation Formula For Your Success” is that you must want or desire to change. If you have read this far, at least some part of you wishes a change.

BELIEF IS REQUIRED FOR MOTIVATION: Before anyone can alter a negative behavior, that person must be motivated to do so. Merely wanting a change is not sufficient.

Our motivation comes from what we believe. If we believe that something very important to us will get better or “become enhanced” if we make a change in our behavior, then we will feel motivated. Conversely, if we believe that something very important to us will be in jeopardy if we don’t make a change in our behavior, we will also feel highly motivated to alter our behavior.

Some straightforward examples of these motivational beliefs would be:

If I take some weight off, then I’ll be able to find a lover.

If I kick my smoking habit, then I won’t have to worry about cancer.

If I stop biting my nails, then my hands will be a lot prettier.

TECHNOLOGIES THAT CAN CREATE THE BELIEFS THAT LEAD TO MOTIVATION: NLP - which is short for Neuro-Linguistic Programming, offers methods that can immediately produce the element of belief. You can learn more on this topic by reading the articles “How To Get Motivated To Exercise Using Hypnosis And NLP” and “Motivation Theory - How To Quit Smoking Using NLP And Hypnosis For Motivation.” These articles are both available in my free hypnosis research library.

DECISION: The dictionary defines the word “Decision” as making up one’s mind / a verdict or judgment. When you believe a thought that gives you a powerful feeling of motivation to alter your behavior, you will feel a compulsion to make a decision to eliminate a negative behavior. Decision is the key that unlocks the door to compelling action.

ACTION: The dictionary definition of the word “Action” is an act or deed / to do or perform. When you take action it means that instead of just thinking about making personal changes, you will actually take action and bring about your desired changes.

SELF-TALK: One of the many reasons that most individuals fail to change or eliminate a negative behavior is because of how they talk to themselves. Self-talk is vital because time and again it is part of what caused the negative behavior in the first place.

I’d like you to think about this for a moment: Let us say that you want to stop smoking. Probably the first thing that you are likely to say or think to yourself is: “I’m not going to smoke anymore.”

It’s common for people to tell themselves what they aren’t going to do. Unfortunately, when we tell ourselves what we aren’t going to do, we are actually programming ourselves to do it!

SELF-TALK EXERCISE: Say the following to yourself: I can’t see blue. I can’t see polka dots . . . . . . .

I’ll bet your mind showed you the color blue, and then it showed you polka dots. That’s because when we tell ourselves what we aren’t going to do, in order to make sense of it our mind must make a movie of us doing whatever it is that we want to stop doing. And when we see ourselves participating in a behavior, our mind gives us a compulsion to create that behavior.

SUMMARY: In order to eliminate a negative behavior, we must first want or DESIRE to get rid of it. BELIEF is the element that leads us to MOTIVATION. MOTIVATION is the drive that compels us to DECISION. DECISION is the key to ACTION. Neuro-Linguistic Programming is a technology that we can use to facilitate beliefs, motivation, decisions, and actions.

When we tell ourselves what we aren’t going to do, we make a mental picture of ourselves in the behavior that we want to modify. And that mental picture gives us a compulsion to generate the negative behavior. So if we want to abolish a negative behavior, instead of telling ourselves what we won’t do, we must always tell ourselves what we will do.

To stop smoking say: “I can live without them.”

To abort cravings for fattening food or to quit chewing tobacco say: “I can live without it.”

To eliminate stress say: “I’m relaxed and calm, both mentally and physically.”

To fall asleep quickly and overcome insomnia say: “I fall asleep promptly, and sleep soundly and restfully throughout the night.”

4 Myths About Speed Reading That Might Be Slowing You Down

Reading is a skill that is crucial to living a successful life. It can be utilized in many places such as in school, on the job, and in many other places in your life. The faster you become at this skill the more useful it becomes to you and your life. Harnessing the skill of raising your speed reading rate comes with practice and the right knowledge and training. However long it may take you to accomplish the desired rate, believe that it will all be worth the efforts. Even with all the training out there, there are still many people who believe the myths passed around out there that there is nothing they can possibly do to increase their reading speed. Here are four myths that just might be slowing you down when you’re reading.

Myth #1 - You Must Read Word for Word - Many people believe that you have to read word for word when you are reading. This is definitely not true. When you first learn to read you look at the letters, then you go on to sound out the syllables in the word, and of course you progress to reading the entire word. So, why not go on to reading several words at a time. If you break away from this myth and start reading several words at a time or even blocks of text, you’ll find that your speed of reading increases drastically.

Myth #2 - Reading Takes a Long Time - Another reading myth is that it takes a long time to read. Believe it or not reading can be fun as well as fast. In fact, once you learn to read faster, you’ll find that reading is even more fun for you. It doesn’t have to take a long time to read; in fact, just the opposite will be true if you get some training on how to speed read.

Myth #3 - All Parts of the Material are Equal - We have it set in our minds that every part of a passage is equally as important as the next. What we need to realize is which passage don’t contain the crucial material so, we can start fast forwarding through them and get to reading the important passages containing the most material. This is true with all text. Including a book, an email, or even a newspaper article, not everything has the same importance.

Myth #4 - Reading Faster Reduces Your Comprehension and Retention - You may think that the faster you read the less you will comprehend and retain; however, this is not the case. When you learn how to speed read you’ll actually find that you comprehend and retain even more information. The techniques that you learn when you study speed reading will help you to make sure you get the optimum retention and comprehension when you are reading.

Now that we have eliminated any myths about reading, you should be ready to pick up your pace of reading. A Social Phobia Can Be Rapidly Overcome With Hypnotherapy

Many people feel uncomfortable or experience some degree of anxiousness when entering a new situation or a group of unfamiliar people. Unfortunately, for approximately ten percent of the population, social anxiety is severe enough to be disabling. Researchers now estimate that an even larger group of people might suffer from more mild forms of social anxieties that can cause significant issues in everyday social situations.

The technical term for this type of anxiety is ’social phobia’. It usually takes place when a person has fears and worries that usually arise from being involved in a social event. Someone with a social phobia might also have trouble with making themselves stop thinking too much about how others are judging or evaluating them.

For those who have social phobia, feelings of anxiety can happen in many types of situations, such as going shopping, going to a party, speaking in public, standing in front of an audience, or being interviewed. These types of social anxieties can also be manifested physically; for many people with social anxieties, sweating, blushing, trembling hands, or intestinal issues can happen when coming face to face with these types of high-stress situations.

Leading experts now believe that social phobia consists of issues with self confidence. Self confidence is our ability to believe that we are able to make good decisions, be independent, and have power over our lives. Those who have trouble with self confidence — an extremely common problem in today’s stressful world — might think too much about how they are perceived, which may eventually lead to not wanting to take part in social events or of having a sense of feeling ‘out of control’.

Fortunately, however, there are some simple actions a person with self confidence issues can undertake in order to regain this sense of control. One possible action someone with self confidence issues can undertake is to get an anxiety and phobia workbook. You can consider the anxiety and phobia workbook as a simple method to get insight into the issues you are dealing with by maintaining a record of triggers and symptoms; the anxiety and phobia workbook also contains activities to do that will help you develop better introspection about your self confidence issues.

When you have gotten to the point at which you have started to have some insight about your issues with self confidence, and have decided that now is the time to begin building self confidence, then it might make sense to investigate a type of treatment that has been proven to be extremely successful in social phobia. Just like the anxiety and phobia workbook, this specific kind of therapy is defined by being centered on assisting you to become pro-active and develop power over your life. In sum, you will be curing yourself.

This type of therapy, called hypnotherapy, functions by taking control of the hidden power of your unconscious to help you become confident, assured, calm, and comfortable with yourself. It may be surprising to know that we are all born with these abilities, but because of difficult life events, learned disempowerment, and problematic social interactions, it is common to lose sight of our abilities to seize these powers. Hypnosis therapy is scientifically shown to be useful for people who have self confidence and anxiety issues.

Many people who have self confidence and other anxiety related issues often seek a quick fix solution, such as medications, herbal products, and short courses of psychotherapy. While these are things that can assist some people, they don’t really address the cause of our self confidence issues - our unconscious. If you want to deal with self confidence issues, you have to be in control of your own cure.

If you decide to investigate hypnosis therapy to help you build self confidence, you will undertake a series of treatments with a hypnotherapist who will encourage you to enter a deep state of relaxation. Within this state of relaxation, your unconscious is wide open and ready to be reached by suggestive techniques. Your hypnotherapist will then work with you in this open state by using repeated suggestion to elicit your realization that you are an able, strong, and independent person.

Other options for those who struggle to deal with self confidence are to participate in hypnosis therapy through video or audio CDs or tapes, which can be viewed or listened to in the comfort of your own house. Many people also find out that learning self hypnosis, a specific relaxation technique in which you are encouraged to become open to your deepest desires and needs, with just minimal assistance, is very helpful. Manage Pain Using Hypnosis

The proverb “no pain, no gain” just isn’t true. Envision all of the times pain has hindered you from participating in activities that you enjoy - perhaps playing tennis, running, fishing and even sitting can be impossible when you are in pain. Have you gained anything from missing out on memories?

However, the adage that “Pain is all in your head” can, actually, be true. If that is so, then the cure is all in your head, also. With hypnosis, pain can disappear completely. Despite what you may think, hypnosis is simply a mental state during which messages can connect with the unconscious more easily. The state of hypnosis is characterized by deep relaxation. In fact, with regular practice of a self hypnosis pain elimination regimen, you will feel much more tranquil over all.

Pain signals that something in your body is not right. So pain is actually a good thing. But after you have your physician give you a check up to make sure that the pain isn’t indicating a harmful condition such as a tumor, it is time to manage or even eliminate the pain.

There is no threat in a hypnotherapy pain relief program. You can not “get stuck” in a state of hypnosis. The worst that could possibly happen when you use self hypnosis for pain reduction is that you might fall into a natural state of sleep for 20 or 30 minutes- think of all of the nights that discomfort has kept you from getting sleep!

This is not to say that a hypnotherapy pain management system is the same as sleep, because that is the major misunderstanding about hypnosis. If you are asleep, you’re unconscious. If you are not conscious, then you can’t hear anything. If you can’t hear anything, then the hypnotherapist can’t assist you. In truth, hypnosis is actually a state of keen awareness.

Even though you are consciously aware of everything, hypnotherapy pain management programs can help both physical and mental causes and introduce many successful avenues to eradicate pain. Medicines merely block the reception of the physical symptoms of pain temporarily, but hypnotherapy pain regimens can actually diminish the amount and strength of pain signals that you perceive. You can literally reprogram your body to distribute less pain-inducing chemicals to your receptors. This means that you can use fewer pain killing drugs, or frequently no prescriptions at all.

Endorphins are opiate-like compounds that are manufactured in the brain. They are the chemicals that cause athletes to have a high when they workout very hard. Using self hypnosis, you can also discover how to program your brain to make pain-relieving endorphins on demand and then distribute them to the painful body part where they are needed.

Because of endorphins, the brain is capable of inducing analgesia, which is a mild anesthesia, as well as complete anesthesia (numbness). Medical journals are full of reports both in pre-anesthesia days, as well as in modern times, when invasive surgery has been done under hypnoanesthesia.

Hypnosis can also work to program the mind to focus your attention away from pain, which will help you perceive much less discomfort. Further, hypnosis hypnotherapy pain management programs can help our mind realize and understand that the pain is present, but not to let us experience it. A certified hypnotherapist will know how to fully address additional hypnotic suggestions that will aid in your recovery.

A very effective hypnosis pain remedy lies in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, or NLP. No doubt that after living with chronic pain, you may be doubtful that a hypnotherapy pain program will help. In many cases, NLP methods actually work better for modern thinkers than traditional hypnosis does because it was developed for people like you who are taught to analyze and question everything. When we analyze, we tend to throw up barriers to the acceptance of post-hypnotic suggestions.

Tense feelings always make us perceive far more pain than we are actually experiencing. One of the most successful NLP patterns for eliminating anxiety is known as the “Flash.” This methodology reprograms the unconscious to use mental images that create stress to actually trigger thoughts that bring about feelings of relaxation in their place. After you’ve used this practice, it will be impossible, or at least very difficult to think the thoughts that upset you, because your unconscious will immediately and automatically exchange them in a Flash for thoughts that relax you instead.

Pain relief and self hypnosis go hand in hand. If you are tired of coping with prescriptions that render you in no condition to drive or to fully experie life, or worse, of living with the stabbing, shooting or throbbing pulsations of discomfort, a hypnosis pain elimination program can give safe, natural and instantaneous relief.
